Accuracy
We do not publish a figure we cannot trace to an official or clearly authoritative source. If we cannot verify a number with confidence, we leave it out rather than estimate it.
No fabrication
Every name, date, value and competition listed in a ranking table reflects a real, sourced result. We do not generate placeholder or illustrative statistics.
Category integrity
We do not blend incompatible categories within a single ranking — for example, mixing short-course and long-course swimming times, or indoor and outdoor athletics marks, without clearly separating them.
Era comparisons
When a ranking spans a long period, we explain the equipment, rule or format changes that affect comparability, rather than presenting old and new marks as equivalent without context.
Official vs. unofficial
We distinguish world records, Olympic records, league records and competition records explicitly, and we do not present an unofficial mark as if it were ratified.
Ties
Where results are tied, we say so in the table rather than inventing a tiebreaker that does not exist.
No arbitrary exclusions
We do not omit a qualifying athlete or result from a ranking without a stated, objective reason (for example, a disqualification or a doping sanction, which we note explicitly).
Corrections
When an error is found or a record changes, we correct the live page and log the change with a date on our Corrections page.
No betting content
Record Bonanza does not publish odds, betting lines, predictions or links to betting operators, under any circumstances.
